Kim majored in painting at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. She excelled in her classes and even won awards for her beautiful drawings, but she didn't fit in with the dressed in all black and very serious fellow artists. Unike them she liked to joke around and have fun.
When Kim graduated she encountered another problem, she couldn't make any money as a fine artist, so she relunctanly took a job as a layout artist for a retail store. She absolutely hated it.
Luckily she met a person that told her she should be an advertising art director.
They make decent money coming up with creative ideas, and they actually
enjoy what they do. From there Kim built an advertising portfolio. She loved
coming with ideas, and creating innovative designs for her ad campaigns.
Her first job was at Cole & Weber in Portland, Oregon, then she went on to
advertising agencies in Seattle, New York and finally Los Angeles, where she
resides and work.
